3rd District City Council

August 2020

Welcome to August everyone - 2020 appears to be flying by. Councilwoman Price was busy between her career as a District Attorney and as 3rd District Councilwoman. However, she still managed to spend time at the Redondo and 10th Community Garden that 3rd District Field Deputy, Gabriela Yates, has been tending to. Additionally, she has continued to dedicate herself to continuing the response to the Black Lives Matter movement and held a conversation about race and injustice. Have a great month!

July 2020

Happy Fourth of July! This year was celebrated differently due to safety concerns with Covid-19 about large group gatherings. This month we also experienced Black Lives Matter protests and conversations regarding police brutality. Councilwoman Price remained as involved and aware as always in these topics by attending BLM protests, talking with the LBPD, and even holding a community discussion regarding implicit bias.

June 2020

Even with social distancing and masks continuing to be necessary, Councilwoman Price has remained an active and vocal leader during this historical month. During the month of June, we are still surviving through the pandemic of Covid-19 and are simultaneously witnessing history through the anti-racism peaceful protests brought on by the Black Lives Matter movement.
